In the year 2377, the Galactic Exploration Service sent a diplomatic team aboard the GES Abel Tasman, to establish formal contact between human Polity and the Orcs of Orcadia. Clara went on a solo sightseeing trip around the Orcadian capital Urmegzard, and later recounted her adventure, which you are about to read.

Galactic Exploration Service press release - GES is conducting in-depth scientific research on the planet Orcadia, where an exotic range of intelligent but brutal life forms has evolved. The Orcs struggle to survive and, especially, reproduce in this unique environment. The indigenious population's exuberant mating behaviour is carefully constrained by strict customs and taboos, intended to maximise their chances of procreation, and thus the survival of the Orc species. We are addressing a backlog of health and safety incidents involving female mission staff at present, but are confident of long-term success as a result of these learning opportunities. It is hoped that regular research reports will entertain as well as inform.
